Privacy Policy
Keystone Advocacy ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. We handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
We only collect information we genuinely need. That includes:
- When you enquire: the details you give us through our enquiry form or by email, such as your name, email address, phone number, the area you are looking in, your rough budget, and anything you tell us about your search.
- When you become a client: the further information needed to act for you, such as identification, your property brief, and details relevant to a purchase.
- Automatically: basic technical information your browser sends when you visit the site (such as general location and pages viewed), used only to keep the site working and understand how it is used. [Confirm whether analytics or cookies are in use and update this section accordingly.]
How we use it
We use your information to:
- respond to your enquiry and arrange a free chat;
- provide our buyer's advocacy services if you engage us;
- stay in touch with you about your property search, where you have asked us to; and
- meet our legal and professional obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or trade your personal information. We only share it where it is necessary to provide the service you have asked for, and with your knowledge, for example with your solicitor, a mortgage adviser you have chosen, or a building inspector engaged for your purchase. We may also disclose information where the law requires us to. Otherwise, your details stay with us.
How we store and protect it
We hold your information securely and take reasonable steps to protect it from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. We keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or for as long as the law requires, and then dispose of it safely.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. To make a request, or if you have any concern about how we handle your information, contact us at hello@keystonepartners.co.nz. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
